Citizenship & More
To be eligible for citizenship, you must be…
- at least 18 years old when you apply
- able to read, write, and speak basic English (depending on age)
- of good moral character
You must also be a lawful permanent resident for 5 years, married to a U.S. citizen, be an active U.S. military service member, or the child of a U.S. citizen.
Once you’ve met the requirements, there is a 10-step naturalization process that an immigration attorney can help you through, and then an interview and citizenship test.
